This project involved providing and installing a Daikin ducted system on the upper level, alongside a Daikin high-wall split system positioned in the downstairs living area.

Precision Electrical & Air executed a comprehensive installation of the Daikin FDYAN160AV1 16.0kW ducted air conditioning system. The indoor unit was strategically placed within the ceiling space above the void, while the outdoor condenser was securely installed on the front balcony wall, using rubber feet for increased stability. Connections between the indoor and outdoor units were meticulously concealed within ductwork leading from the ceiling space.

To guarantee effective water drainage, two drainage systems were established, directing water from the indoor unit and safety tray to the external gutter. The installation process included careful positioning of ducting, branch takeoffs, zone motors, and air plenums throughout the ceiling space, ensuring seamless integration with the indoor unit. A return air grille was installed in the upstairs hallway to optimise airflow within the system.

A dedicated electrical sub-circuit was created, linking the switchboard to the outdoor unit, which includes an NHP isolation switch conveniently located next to the condenser. In the upstairs hallway, a MyZone Multipoint touchpad zone controller was installed, providing intuitive temperature control that connects directly to the zone motors.

In the downstairs living area, the Daikin FTXV80W 8.0kW high-wall reverse cycle split system was installed with precision. New ducting, interconnect cables, and copper pair coils were added to connect the indoor and outdoor units effectively. The condenser was mounted on rubber feet, ensuring stability during operation.

A dedicated electrical circuit was established from the switchboard to the outdoor condenser, incorporating an NHP isolation switch for enhanced safety. An Aspen Silent+ Mini condensation pump was installed beneath the indoor unit and connected to the nearest stormwater downpipe, facilitating efficient drainage. Upon completion, the system underwent extensive commissioning to ensure optimal performance.
